Dr. Mays has formed governmental officials and business managers from Eastern Europe, the Republics of the ex-Soviet Union, and the Middle East in the business development field starting in 1993. Besides her duties as a full-time professor, Prof. Dr. Mays is the co-founder and Senior Partner at the International Resources Institute, with offices in Cleveland, Ohio, Washington, DC, and Freehold, New Jersey. She is also a partner of Mays Development, a company specializing in the execution of business plans and counseling for small and medium enterprises.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Mays has held positions that have included: Dissertation Mentor, Capella University DBA Program, Professor, Capella University, Course Development Team for “Contemporary Issues Including Organizational Success”, DBA Program, Scientific Merit Reviewer, trained and approved to conduct Scientific Merit Reviews of DBA Dissertations etc.
