The BBA and BS Admission Process

What are the required documents?

Registration for admission to the program is done by submitting the following documents:

  1. Application form for admission, completed and signed
  2. A copy of the high school graduation diploma, including the Baccalaureate*
  3. A copy of your high school transcript**
  4. A copy of Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, iTEP, ACT or SAT results
  5. A copy of your passport or identity card

* Admissions will not be affected if the applicant hasn’t yet graduated or the baccalaureate diploma hasn’t been issued, but you must present it before starting classes.

**The transcript with the partial results obtained in high school up to the time of enrollment.

What are the initial taxes?

Just so you know, some of the documents we are asking you for are required for our office in Bucharest, Romania, and others for Tiffin University in Ohio, USA.

After we analyze your documents, we’ll get to know each other!

We’ll see you at a personal interview, in English, where we can’t wait for you to tell us about yourself and why you want to study at Tiffin BBA.

You must also pay an application fee for the BBA/BS program of €50 when you apply.

The Application Process

Start Online Submission

You must send the documents mentioned above for verification and sharing at Tiffin University in Bucharest.

The application form, a certified copy of the transcript, certified English translations, and a copy of the English language certificate will be sent to Tiffin University in Ohio, USA.

Interview

Following the analysis of the documents submitted in Step 1, you will be invited for the admission interview.

After that, you will recieve an official letter that will formally confirm your acceptance into the program, provide details on the enrollment process, and outline the next steps to complete your registration.

Sign The Contract

You will be required to sign the Education Contract with the university and pay the tuition fee according to the contract, followed by your enrollment in the Tiffin University Bucharest program at the beginning of October each year.

The contract must be signed within three weeks of confirmation of admission.

Remember a few important things!

  1. Students are assessed and admitted by order of fee submission and registration.
  2. If you decide to postpone attending the courses, your place will be taken by the next person admitted to the program.
  3. If two candidates compete for the same place, it will be awarded to the first person to pay their application fee.
  4. Candidates will lose their place to the next person admitted to the program, in chronological order, if they do not pay the equivalent value of the first module within the term specified in the contract.
  5. You can postpone the start of your studies, as long as you consider necessary, after you are admitted. You are required, however, to complete the program in no more than six years.

1. I have just finished high school. May I apply for the Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science – Cybersecurity and Information Assurance program?

Yes, this program is addressed to high school graduates

2. How can I apply?

The easiest way to apply is by using our online form. You may also apply using an attached file or by printing the form and bringing it to our location together with the other necessary documents.

The registration fee for admission into our BBA or BS program is €50.

3. What are the necessary documents for applying?

The necessary documents for the BBA/BS application are:
· Completed and signed International Student Application for Admissions form;
 A copy of your high school graduation diploma, including a copy of the high school transcript;
· A copy of your Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, iTEP, Duolingo, ACT or SAT score;
· If requested by the Office of International Admissions, an applicant may also be required to submit an academic credential evaluation from an external service provider;
· A copy of your passport or identity card.

4. Are the courses taught only by American professors?

Yes, they are. American professors come directly from Tiffin University – Ohio, and teach the courses. Professors will communicate with their students throughout the entire program.

5. Is it possible to stop and attend courses again later?

Yes. You must finish the BBA/BS program within six years after you start classes. During these six years, you may take some sessions, stop for some time, and then continue the rest of the sessions until the end of the BBA/BS program.

6. If I stop, when can I continue?

According to the schedule, you must continue within the next session from the BBA/BS program that follows the last one you attended.

7. When do I have to attend courses?

You must attend courses from Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day. You will also have a break after the first 3 hours. Two courses will be taught in each module for three weeks in a row.

8. What will I specialize in after finishing the BBA/BS program?

Tiffin University in Romania’s Bachelor of Business Administration program is a general BBA program. You learn how to manage the whole business. All the areas of the business are covered. For a detailed description of the courses, please visit this page.
The BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance offers you the possibility to specialize in a series of disciplines with high future potential, such as cybersecurity expert, information security expert, software developer, etc. For a detailed description of the courses and possible future roles, please visit this page.

9. Do I have to pass an exam at the end of each course?

No, there is no final exam. The professors evaluate each student during the whole course period.

10. What can I do if I fail one of the courses?

You can register for the same course and take it again. You may attend it online or attend it the same way as the first time, with the seated component included. You may request the Dean of the Business School/Dean of the School of Science, Technology, and Health for registration. You will be allowed to take it again after the approval and paying the full tuition fee.

11. Does TU accept transfer credit from other programs?

Yes. We accept transfer credit from other universities for our undergraduate and graduate degree programs. A preliminary transfer credit evaluation is performed when a completed application is reviewed.  You are required to submit course descriptions.

12. Do students have the possibility to give feedback concerning the teaching methods and communication between the professors and students?

Yes, they do. Each professor is evaluated by each student through a dedicated form at the end of each course. The professor will return to teach the same course for other groups only if he/ she gets a good evaluation from the students.

13. What is the maximum number of students per year?

The maximum number of students accepted per year is 40.

14. What are the payment forms? May I pay in installments?

There are several payment forms you may choose from:
· payment of the entire amount once;
· payment of half of the amount before the first session and half before the third session;
· payment of a third of the amount before the first session, a third before the third session and another third before the fifth session;
· payment of a fixed amount before each session, which means five (5) installments. This is used mostly.

15. What kind of textbooks do I need?

The textbooks are chosen by the professors who teach each course and are purchased by students. They are the latest editions of the best textbooks, published by well-known publishing houses like Prentice Hall, Thomson South-Western, or McGraw Hill. You can buy them from Tiffin University in Bucharest, Amazon, or a few local suppliers. If you want to see what they look like, please visit us.

The cost of textbooks is between € 500 and € 700 per year.

16. How much does it cost?

Tiffin University BBA or BS programs each have a fee of € 9.000 annually.
We offer scholarships for students with a good academic profile, motivation, and potential, up to € 2.000/year.
